- Lois Francis
- Tim Metford
Lois graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in 1993 and went on to complete post-graduate studies in acupuncture in 1995.
Lois taught at the college from 1995, leaving to join Tim in focussing on creating The Acupuncture Clinic as an alternative health centre. Since graduating she's done numerous courses including counselling, NLP (the stuff that Paul McKenna does) and trained with Zita West.
She loves to share her knowledge and is currently creating on-line programmes for stress, fertility and back pain.
Lois has a passion for maintaining good health, doing Yoga from her early twenties. She juices every day and does Pilates or Yoga 3 to 4 times a week.
Tim researches and reads a lot and is a fount of information, having a great knack of explaining things in a way which can be easily understood. He particularly likes the work of Deepak Chopra and applying this wisdom to his own life and that of his patients.
Tim loves to work with his hands, which he uses to intuitively guide him to the areas of the body which need working upon. Tim's particular interest is in the treatment of muscular/skeletal disorders, which he has studied extensively since graduating. Most recently, he has completed training in Dorn Method.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys cycling, running, Pilates, listening to CDs and spending time with friends.
Lois Francis &Tim Metford
Lois and Tim are both graduates of the College of Traditional Acupuncture. The College is one of the longest established in the UK and was founded by Professor JR Worsley, who passed on his passion for Five Element acupuncture to his students. You can find out more about each of us by clicking on our name tags.
We are both members of the British Acupuncture Council.
This is your guarantee that we have been properly trained at an accredited Acupuncture College in the U.K. and are qualified to give you safe and effective treatment.
The B.Ac.C. lays down strict requirements for the education and clinical training of acupuncturists. This covers the full theoretical groundwork of acupuncture together with a period of supervised clinical practise. The letters B.Ac.C. after an acupuncturists' name indicates that they are Council members. The British Acupuncture Council requires it's members to engage in continuous professional development.
